I haven't posted any of my stuff for a while, but I thought I'd post my latest make in time for Valentine's Day.  Grin So enjoy, you lucky, lucky ladies.  Wink

And in case you are in any doubt about who that is, here's the photo I used as inspiration:

I don't have any gold chain in my stash, or he would've had the medallion as well.  Grin

That is AWESOME. I love the little details--the buttons, the chest hair, the ruffled collar! Well done. Cheesy

EEEEEeeeeeeee!  Swoon!  I love the chest hair!  You really captured that photo (except the stuffing in the pants is more PG than the original - ahem).

This is utterly fantastic!  I want to say more but it seems that Tom has left me a little speechless, as he is apt to do.   Grin

Ha ha ha!  Oh my gosh this is hysterical!  The details are great!  So well done, and how convenient - you can fondle him and swoon over him whenever you want!
Seriously, I love his songs.

While you didn't quite capture that bulge on his left leg Wink, you did a fantastic job!  He's so great.  Gotta love the chest hair!  Cheesy

(by the way, I am not seriously criticizing the lack of bulge - I think he is fantastic!)

Thank you all for your comments. I feel I should add that I will not be fondling Tom in ANY way (he got enough free kicks that way while I was making him).  Shocked I am keeping him separate from a lady librarian I made not so long ago  (pics on my blog) - I don't want her glasses to get steamed up.  Cheesy Also, I made a conscious decision not to recreate the bulge from the original pic - I think his likeness is potent enough without it.  Grin

And thanks for the tip re: thrift stores, but they are thin on the ground here in Holland. It's a good excuse for me to put an order in online - I know my local bead store doesn't have any gold chain, as I wanted some a few months back for a jewellery commission.

It's not unusual to be feeling that way in the presence of Tom's brand of awesome.
(I couldn't resist!  You can proceed with the well deserved groans and tomatos now.)

I showed this to The ManFlesh and he was SO jealous of Tom's suit. Also, we're wondering how tall "Tom-in-the-felt" (good one HSG!) is?

Tom stands proud at just over 5 and a half inches tall. Oh, and he wants me to let you know that what he lacks in height, he makes up for in....other ways.  Wink Shocked Grin

Yeesh, I'm going to have to make a felt Julie Andrews or Doris Day now, just to even things up.  Cheesy

Indeed he does, "they'll always go home with Tom Jones".  Now I wish I hadn't had to wipe my iPod to get this particular podcast on there, because I'm In The Mood for some TJ.  Blast!

Could you use metallic thread to braid a chain?
