Hello kids.

I just learned how to watercolor this summer, and I've gotten really into it. Also this summer, I started doodling this sailor guy, and since then, I can't get him out of my head. Anyway, just thought I'd share and see what you think of some of my work!

His name is Mick. Why? I dont know.

Comments? Thanks for looking! :]

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love these.  You are very very talented and I will be watching out for future posts to see more of your work.

Edited to add: hang on, you're the girl who embroidered that amazing ship pillowcase!  Wow!

Um, yup, that's me! Thanks so much for the encouragement! I did mention in that post that I was obsessed with nautical stuff, hence the ship and sailors, hahaha. thanks again!

Those are fantastic, you need to be illustrating children's books my friend. Smiley The depth of the colors are wonderful. Since he popped into your head you should pen a story about him and send it off to a publisher or two. Seriously. Great Job !!

I like how you make the pictures look both realistic and cartoonish at the same time, and you also make me want to know more about this sailor you draw. You should put some pictures like these together into a book, I don't even think they need text with all the detail. Great job!

I use tubes - they're Reeves brand, I think they came in a 24 beginner pack. :]

Absolutely brilliant. If only all sailors were that cute.
