Hey everyone. I'm having a hard time trying to think of gift ideas for a friend of mine. I've found some ideas on here than I'm planning on doing but it's mainly jewlery like a ring and some earrings. I just don't see that as enough and I'm not quite sure if I'm up for it since I just started getting into crafts. Does anyone have any ideas?
- She'll be sixteen
- She's pretty quiet
- She's kinda gothic but usually she doesn't care what she wears
- She still acts like she's fourteen
- She's learning to play guitar
- She likes to sing, as well
I don't really know what else to say, I'm sure she'll appreciate anything, I just don't know what to get her. Any ideas would be great. Plus, I want to get/do it this weekend since I'm planning on giving it to her on Monday. So yes, I'm pressed on time. I'm planning on making a record bowl and I want to fill it with things but I'm not sure of what. So any help is appreciated. <3 Oh and I'm using my parents money so I don't want to go way over the top with the money and all. Maybe I could do a '____ in a box' theme idea, I don't know.

bath stuff, cd, dvd, candles, posters... that's all I can think of right now. A good filler is candy (specifically jelly bellies lol)

-A coffin purse:
http://www.phobe.com/coffins/
-Stencil a shirt or bag
-Mix CDs are always good
-Marble magnets
-Black eyeliner/nail polish
-Print out guitar tabs for some of her favorite songs and make a book
-Decorate and/or sew a guitar strap
-Black/red/purple duct-tape roses
-Homemade candles
-Bake her favorite goodies and cut them out in fun shapes (bats, coffins, etc.)

That's all I can think of fow now. I hope some of it helped.

Hmm, well.... I'd suggest ponyfalls, depending on how she dresses and what her favorite colors are. These can be as simple or as complex as you would like. Plastic ones are the cheapest and easiest to make... you can get 10 yards of plastic lanyard string for about 60 cents.  I'd suggest checking out this site and messageboard for more ideas:

Also, another idea is a purse. I've NEVER even wanted a purse, much less used one, and I'm 15 years old now... almost 16. But when I saw this, I just had to. I think its amazing, and I'm sure your friend would too. I'm actually going to be making this one today. ^_~ Heres a link to it:

Very in depth instructions.

One more thing... some duct tape roses. They rock. You can let your imagination fly with these (hair clips, boxes, bouquets... whatever...

Hope I helped.

I just remembered her actual birthday is going to be on Thursday so I have until then to get her a gift. =) Yay for more time. Thank you for the ideas, they're great. I think I'm beginning to lead toward the idea of ______ in a box. The only trouble I'm having is an idea for a theme..hmm. It's tricky and even her best friend couldn't give me a good idea, so yeah. Ick. Thanks again for the ideas. I love yall!

you could go with some of the ideas listed...and I'm not sure how "goth" this girl is...but you could do death in a box and go w/ all things black and red....and like use black candles...and then throw in something white just for kicks....Something that i like to do and is really easy is making pens...you could get barbie doll heads and like use a black sharpie and draw goth make-up all over their faces...*i don't draw on mine..but it would be better for a goth to have one drawn on than to have a pretty blonde* but anyways....just get the barbie doll head..they are really easy to pull off my brothers did it all the time when I was little...and hot glue it on top of a cheap old pen...and then wrap it in like yarn and you can just use hot glue to hold it in place..and you could take the coffin idea

and that could be your box...it would be simple and you don't have to use velvet...u could just use black or red material...

Hope that helps...::: Smiley :::::
