Wow. I was intrigued just by reading that you were the same person that had made the Anglerfish chair which I remember quite well. I know many people have commented on this but I couldn't NOT comment. I was deeply touched by your pieces. Your work is amazing and the time that you put into this can be seen in their beauty. I loved the fish.. but I have to say I felt the blood in the tub. I went through a very similar experience last year with a good friend... and this just made me feel so many things. I commend you for taking on such emotional topics and thank you for taking the time to share them with us.

oh.. and I was wondering... did your father know what an effect those apples had on you before this... because I would guess it was a pretty big one seeing as it was a topic you chose... I love that you captured they way we really remember events as children

Thanks so much for your lovely words. I hope that you and your friend are OK. Mine was fortunate enough to survive, though she's no longer a friend.

I don't think my dad DID know--he cried at the opening! He wants to put it in the house somewhere, but it's awfully big Tongue At first I was worried he would be offended because I didn't really remember him, just the apples, but he loved it.

Wow - as someone who has done my fair share of quilting, I have to say that not only are these awesome and wonderful, I also can't believe you got them done in as little time as you had.

And I love the apples.  Smiley
