make sure that every participant has been a member for
at least 1 month: Of course! (NOTE: Some people have expressed interest but won’t be members of 1 month for awhile – as long as you’ve been a member for 1 month as of April 30, you’re in!)
Details of swap: Tired of “No non-US participants allowed?” Me too! So, this swap will be for Canadian Crafters ONLY! The Swap will be officially organized for shipments from April to August and we’ll see where it goes from there. Each month you’ll be matched up with a new partner and send them an 8 ½ X 11 envelope full of goodies. You can include supplies or other non-crafted things, but at least 3 things each month must be crafted! Most months will have a loose theme to inspire us:
April: Your partner’s favourite things – You’ll see below that I’ve asked for you to list 10 things you like – the challenge is to create a package of things your partner would love! You don’t have to do all ten, you just gotta fill up that envelope!
May: The “wearables” month – clothes, jewelery, purses, etc.
June: House wares – pillow cases, picture frames, pictures, clocks, etc.
July: Retro Flashback month! Send an envelope full of stuff based on your partner’s favourite decade! Also: This month, try to send a CD!
August: No theme for this month, your choice!
One last thing: I know a lot of us Canadians get paired up together more than once and for this swap I’d think it would be great to have brand new partners each time. If you’re interested, I’ll keep an updated list of who has signed up and please PM me the people you’ve already swapped with before. You don’t have to do this – only if you want to!
Wait – one last final thing – If maybe you’re only interested in doing one or two of the months, you can – just tell me in your PM. But I encourage you all to try all 5 months!
