Hello everyone,

Well I've made the big move from Southland to Auckland and am beginning to get itchy fingers for crafting...problem is with such a big city I am finding it hard to find any real nice craft stores/events/groups. Anyone have any suggestions? I live in South Auckland (near Botany Downs) but am up for travelling anywhere for some good crafting.

Hi,

I'm out West but the ones I know of out South are:

Spotlight
Arthurs Emporium

These two are close together

Sorry that's about it, hope it helps

You also want to search out Kraftbomb or the Devonport Craft Market. Good luck!

My friend and I are also starting a craft market called Love Handmade that will be held in Takapuna (so probably a wee bit too far away for you to go but you never know).
Check this out for more info if you like www.lovehandmadecraft.blogspot.com

I think the best place (and there arent many in Auckland) are the Emporiums. There is one in Devonport called Ikes Emporium but im not sure what the one out South would be called.
You are best to buy your stuff of a website most of the time though. I saw in spotlight some really naff buttons. They were 200g for $18 but i bought 1oz of really cool buttons from a lady in the Uk off Etsy and it only cost me (incl postage) $16.50.
