For my ceramics class last semester, I really wanted to try something interesting with the underglazes, so this is what I came up with.  It's all wheel-thrown, coloured with underglaze and a clear glaze over top.

So there you go-- let me know what you think!

I like them! I think it's cool how they look like a mosaic at first, but you just did it with glazes. Can you put actual food in these?

Hey, thanks! Yeah-- the clear glaze sealed them, so they're all completely functional dishes.

Lovely! I've never played with underglazes but I've really wanted to try (always inhibited by the need to spend more money!)...you made some really gorgeous pieces.

Thanks so much for the kind words!

Heh, the awesome bonus of doing all this work for school: free supplies. Cheesy  I don't know if I would have been so free to experiment if they weren't at my disposal.  Smiley

I love the colors and designs you've used here. My favorite is probably the large bowl at the top. I really love the movement of the colors and shapes in it.  Smiley

These are *stunning*. The patterns and colours all work together perfectly, and the piece as a whole looks really well-made and professional.
