thanks everyone...to answer a couple of questions...it is tall and skinny and is hanging on the wall...it's 20x36.  as for the quilting...painter's tape is the way i keep my lines straight.  it works great...doesn't leave any residue, is repositionable, and comes in lots of widths...i even have it a a quarter in size for quilting REALLY skinning channel quilting.  hope this helps.

Thanks for replying about using the tape.  I have used that technique, too and suspected that's what you did.  I only have one width, though.  May have to stop in at Lowe's!

I like many aspects to this quilt:

Design- love the freeform piecing, I like that this is YOUR design and you went for it.

Color- wonderful color choice works beautifully with design!

Quilting-  I think you did a terrific job on the quilting!!  What works is how evenly you quilted the quilt as a whole.  Even quilting lines complements the design.  You should be proud of yourself.
