Here is my pic.

I used the menu from the first list and newspaper and brown paper bag from the second list. The newspaper became the fire crackers, the paper bag became a fan, and the menu was framed in an old bark frame. The frame is from a mirror that had broken. Ribbon and beads from my stash were also used.

What a pretty and unusual decoration.  I like that the color scheme is simple; it lends a certain elegance to it.

this is so pretty and serene! (not necessarily things i would have thought of for the chinese new year! Grin) i really love how you used the natural colours of the items to create such a pulled together piece!
