Here are a couple of things I made for my recent swap partner MandyLikesPie for the mystery swap version 2.0

I love this image - so simple and clean and yet cute. I did this is Mand's favorite color combo which I can't blame her for liking. The only decent frames I could find were these though. I was hoping to run across some white ones but oh well. The images themselves were cut out of regular paper and were super easy for anyone looking for some way to brighten up a plain wall.

Here's a set of Dean Martin coasters that I made out of ceramic bathroom tiles

They're definitely not perfect but I like the way they turned out for a first try. I covered the images with a layer of resin, which I never tried before and it worked like a charm. The only problem was when I was gluing the felt backing to the tile the glue strings from the hot glue gun stuck to the front. I was able to get most of it off but there are a few strings that are permanently stuck on.

I loooove the colors in the wall hanging! Brown and turquoise go so well together. I love the frames as well. It's a great idea to make coasters out of ceramic tiles too.  Grin

I am in love with your bird prints! I have a slight fetish for all things songbird. How on earth did you cut out such a perfect design? If you don't mind sharing, I'd love to know if you had a template or are just simply that marvelous?!  Roll Eyes

The bird pictures are so beautiful. Brown is my absolute favorite color, and the Brown and Blue combo will probably be my wedding colors.

Those wallhangings are wonderful! That is one of my fave color combos too - they would be perfect in my office which is filled with lovely art.

I am simply that marvelous  Cheesy haha. But seriously, all I did was find an outline of the bird, sized it relative to the size of the paper I was working with, and printed it out (I used standard sized paper). Then I drew the branches on lightly with pencil and cut the whole thing out with an xacto blade and mounted both sides on contrasting paper. Make sure that the printed side of your paper is glued down though so you can't see it.
