Details of swap:
A lot of us seem to have bought those square wide-framed mirrors from IKEA (like this:  http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30150818), and have them laying around waiting for inspiriation.  This is a good place to use them!  Decoupage, mosaic, upholstery/embroidery, paint, whatever strikes your fancy.
Ive posted some examples of things I have done, as well as links to more ideas I found on the web back in the idea thread here:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=283446.0

The only required item to send is one mirror.  Extras are allowed but certainly not required, discuss it with your partner.  But please note:  We're shooting for a medium here, so please take that into consideration.  Spraypainting a mirror and sending it out like that is not acceptable, and you will receive negative feedback for not following the rules of this swap.  (I know I don't have to say it, but I have to say it.  You understand.   Wink)

You will need to post at least once a week in this thread to keep in touch until both you and your partner have received.

DC#s will be required on all domestic US packages.  For international shipments, please have a copy of the shipping receipt available.

Send PMs to me with any questions, but you are also required to PM me both when you send and when you receive.  Please make sure to put the name of the swap in the subject line.

If you want to participate, send  this information to the organizer:
Name of swap: IKEA Malma Mirror Swap
Craftster username:
Email address:
Your real name:
Mailing address including the country:
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country?
Confirm that are at least 13 years old (yes/no)

What types of crafts do you do?
What types of crafts would you like to receive? (remember these are only suggestions)
Any themes/patterns/designs/colors you like?
Any themes/patterns/designs/colors you don't like?
Anything you would not like to receive?
Do you have any allergies?
Do you have any pets or live in a smoking household that may cause a problem for partners with allergies?
Do you have a wist/blog/networking site? If so, please provide a link for your partner.
Anything else you want your partner or organizer to know? (The more info the better!  What's your style?  What are you into?  Communication is good!)

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ME VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

My last note is that this is my first time organizing a swap, so please be patient with me if/when I make mistakes!  Thanks guys!  HAVE FUN!

This seems like a really fun idea without a huge money commitment (My husband will be happy!)

Can't wait to get started... I needed an excuse to visit IKEA anyway.

I've just seen so many of these mirrors floating around... I know I bought 9-12 of them because - HEY!  They're $3 a piece!  SCORE!  And then they've just been laying around... well... I've used three now for various crafts.  But it seems like EVERYONE has them!

Sounds like a cool swap. If there are any openings open when my month is up, I'll sign up.

I love this idea! I am really trying to save money this year but since I already have the mirror and all my craft supplies this seems like a fun swap. I might have to sign up.

It seems we are a quiet bunch, aren't we?  I am hoping to make my way over to IKEA today.  Wonder what I'll come home with besides my mirror...
