So I found the epic "infinity dress" thread. And read pretty much all of it. And got SUPER excited and omghadtomakeitthisi nstant. My mom only taught me how to sew last week! Was it possible for such a newb to make such a dress? Some other posters in the thread gave me hope. But there was really only one way to find out-- right? And here is the product of my (not so vigorous) labor. It's pretty rough. I still haven't mastered that whole "cutting straight" thing. And I didn't do any hems or anything. I think I made the straps too wide, but I wanted to error on the side of wide rather than narrow. Despite everything, I'm proud of it! (Probably won't wear it out though, as it still bears a slight resemblance to a bed sheet. What's more-- a holey bed sheet.)

The infinity dress looks a lot like the bridesmaid dress on Twobirds.com.    Where did you get the pattern and what type of material did you use?  I think you did great !
Thanks!!

Hey, I'm not sure what the material was. some sort of thin cotton? It was just a ratty bed sheet I pulled out of the linen closet.  Tongue
but I got the pattern here: http://rowena.typepad.com/rostitchery/infinity-dress.html
