Not only were they cat bite-sized, but she also cut them into crowns!  She said it was because my cat is the king of my household...and that was the truth! Smiley

Well I tried to make them crowns. Only half of them cooperated. The others were cat bite sized blobs.

I just made my first batch and woa  Shocked they came out huge! 36 cookies nothin, I barely got 18! I'll be sending out either later today or tomorrow, kitty1256. Of course I opted for cookies that needed refrigeration.  Tongue

Ooo, everything sounds so tasty! Also, I've been wary of vegan foods because they always sound so ... healthy, but those cookies do look really good.  Smiley

Oh, believe, me, there is nothing healthy in those cookies...aside from maybe some soy milk and soy yogurt...they just don't have any animal products...but a ton of vegan margarine, so..healthy they are not! Smiley
I received my package today!!!!  I'll be taking and posting pictures tonight!

Here's hp-nerd's yummy sponge toffee recipe

2.5 cups sugar
2/3 cup corn syrup
6 tsp water
2 tbsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla.

Boil the sugar, corn syrup and water until 300'.  Stir in vanilla and baking soda.  The mixture will rise-ALOT!  Pour into oiled and lined 9x13" pan.  Cool and break into chunks.

I just noticed how many times I used the word 'great' in my last post...LOL...must learn other describing words.

Hmm, sponge toffee. I might have to wait for pictures.

I received my lovely package from kitty1256 Thursday but between migraines and work pictures are finally up. Boyfriend hasn't been over yet to try, but I found my dad eating some of the peanut butter kisses this afternoon!  Shocked And I've had to hold myself back from eating the other ones, they're like little cakes!

Here's everything together: a caramel heart, strawberry cream heart, two lollipops, Sweethearts (we get them in Spanish, too, Corazones Dulces), kitty treats, a TON of candy (NOM NOM) and a card pack, "things that go together." The cookies are Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies (with peppermint, I believe) made from a basic cake mix. OMG SO GOOD, they're like cupcakes but tinier. And peanut butter kisses which are so peanut buttery. I know Boyfriend will love them.

Things that go together! We're in the bottom right hand corner. This was SO CUTE. Aw, thanks. Cheesy (I didn't even notice I put peanut butter and jelly right over us! We joke that he's peanut butter because of his skin color (he's Peruvian) and I'm jelly, pulled from my nickname Jilly.  Cheesy

All the candy:

Thanks so much kitty1256! Your package will be out on Monday. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoyed this! Smiley

I went lacto ovo veg at 16, vegan at 20 and I will be 30 in June. I have never been one for a big plate of salad, though I had one with grilled veggies yesterday and today with tofu and spicy hummus - well I have to balance all the cookies I have been eating.
My boyfriend eats meat and hates anything healthy so I use him for my baking 'vegan factor' testing. He is honest and if it tastes to dry or wheat grassy or what every silly notion people may have he will tell me. I like using organic ingredients - which are pricey but so much better...

My vegan tip: don't eat vegan premade stuff - you may end up with a fear of vegan stuff in the future. Have some kick ass vegan (home) baker make you something yummy!
