it's very cool! was it a chalk ink pad? those are the only ink pads i haven't used, but i bought a bunch the other day, so i'm going to start playing.

i bet you could get the same effect from the edge of a paper placemat. i've seen them doily-ish, and they'd have a great edge like that! very cool!

I used the chalk that comes with 9 little squares of color in a container. Can't think of the name at the moment. I have 3 different color sets, one with shimmery colors. I never used to use them much, but I find that lately I'm using them more for softer colors or if I want to change a background color, but not the design (like amaryllisroze's ATC). I used cotton cosmetic squares to apply it. I don't like the little foam applicator's that come with it.

I've used chalk inks before, but it's been awhile. I like them although I tend to like brighter colors when I stamp.

I received my FIRST ATC! (Note to self: Must buy card sleeves or find cool box for storage.)

Oh, and there were extras - paper and photos to make more cards!

To me, the girl's face looks like it's in the split-second transition between "Ah, what a nice hug from such a dreamboat!", and "Umm, wait a second, something's not right here..."

Here's my pretty card from boogirl! I love the little velvet heart and different textures (velvet, rice paper, satin, ribbon, metal). The little silver brads spell love.
