So today in the mall I saw the most amazing pair of high heels that we covered in sequin... only problem they were $80 and I was like um NO. SO I came home and made my own little version. What do you all think? They arent finished yet, Im still going to add some more to fill in the spaces. Any other suggestions as to how to make them better? What do you guys think? I adore them but I could be totally lame.

i love sparkles, and i love these. just make sure you seal the hell out of them or you'll be leaving a trail of sequins wherever you go. which could be kind of theatrical... Wink

It was RIDICULOUSLY simple I swear.
1 pair of high heels
2 bags of sequin
glue
tweezers

I just took and made a mixture of fabric glue, craft glue and a few drops of "cement". I painted the glue onto the shoes and then  applied the sequin. The tweezers are if you have open spaces to place them a little more delicately. Thats about it I think. It took a grand total of maybe an hour.

glad to inspire you. And its funny that you said that, my original plan was to do all teal sequin but I was unable to find any so I went for the rainbow look instead.

I love them, but (there always has to be a but, right?) the open edge seems unfinished to me. I would go to a fabric store and see if they have sequins on a string. They are sewen flat in a tight row, and glue them all around the top edge. Or glue a bunch along the top edge which would take much longer.

Otherwise, I love them!

THOSE. THOSE ARE SO COOL. I wouldn't use yellow heels, but that's just me - you presumably like and wear yellow, after all :-) I WANT SOME LIKE THAT. I think I might try this myself, they're pretty epic. I'd have no idea what sort of sealant to use, though.

When she was good, she was very very good - but when she was bad she was fabulous.
