Did someone watch Craft Corner Deathmatch?

Is it on Style channel? I don't think I get that channel.  Would be fun to see!

The reason I asked is because they did the same thing on the premier episode. Except they used garbage scraps and made trivets, not coasters.  Wink

Where did you find the glass for these?  I made some similar ones with some beveled glass tiles I found in the stuff an old tenant left behind in our garage, but I don't know where to find the tiles again!

Where did you find the glass for these?

I do stained glass, so I have all the supplies on hand.  I make kits for folks who want to give it a try but don't have the glass & glass cutting supplies. Last night I put the info in the classified section of craftster.org:

Edit:
Since the "for sale" classifieds have been removed I've removed the dead link, though I do sell still the kits.

Edit: Now there's Shopcrafty on Craftster, so I've put the info for the coaster kits I sell back up:

Thanks--me too.  They're like a bit of table top art with functional purpose too.

Thanks!

Those are awesome! Did someone watch Craft Corner Deathmatch?

I just saw that episode--we don't get Style network but it was showing repeats on "E!" (channel 51 in my area, just north of NYC).  They are playing 4 episodes back to back on this rainy Saturday, great timing!

They were doing exactly this process with items collected from the trash, and putting them between bigger pieces of glass.  I also made one about the size they use on the show, I just didn't include the picture.  I think of it as a bottle coaster.  Here it is alone below, and then with the beverage coasters, check my website for larger pics:

~ Bottle coaster alone ~

~ All four drink coasters on top ~
of the bottle coaster

~ Three on, one off to the side ~

Wow these are beautiful.  You should sell them.  Although I like making my own crafty stuff, I'm not usually into buying other people's.  But these are amazing - I would definitely buy them!  I so hit the "This Rocks" button for you!!!
Michelle

I was just thinking, there's all sorts of things you could put in there besides leaves and flowers.  How about money? (especially foreign bills - do a travel set) Stamps?  Those clear-backed stickers?  I wish I had the time/energy/money/space/freedom to take up a new project, but I'm trying to limit myself.  I want these coasters!!!

I just bought a bunch of old international stamps to make another set.  Hadn't thought of the vinyl stickers... I'll be thinking about that next time the craft store has a sale!
