How about a swap where you make a corset for your partner, in the style of their preference (victorian, steampunk, renaissance, sexy, gothic, etc...)?

Swap packages could also perhaps include a small accessory to go with the corset, like jewelry, a coin purse, a garter, etc, and something the partner could use in making another corset, like a bit of fabric, a charm, or a nice ribbon.

Any other ideas?

I would also love to do this if I had the confidence to take on a project like a corset!

This is a fascinating idea, and rather tempting...  I'd just worry about the pairings and the standard of craftsmanship.  I don't mean to sound like a horrible person, but it would be sad for someone who was a very experienced stitcher, who has made corsets before, to make a kick ass corset for her partner... who has perhaps only sewn pillows or a simple dress, and is "experimenting" with the sewing, and returns something that doesn't fit/isn't properly boned/or can't hold up.  How would this work?  I really don't mean to sound negative at all, I'm actually very intrigued with the idea of this swap....

That's a very good point. I hadn't thought about it. There's also the cost difference in fabric, boning, etc. if a very small person is paired with a very large person, but I don't know if that would be significant enough to matter. Hmmmmmmm.......
