I looked on page 1 of the thread but couldn't find the gallery link.  Had to do a search to locate it.  I was hoping to see some amigurumi-goodness posted already.  I guess I have to wait a little longer.  Mine will be going out next week.

My amigurumi is on it's way to Longtimegeek.  I wasn't sure if I could make the post office today.  We had some wet snow today.  I wasn't concerned about the roads, they weren't bad. It's getting out of the car with my walker (, I'm recovering from a fractured pelvis,) that had me a little uneasy, but I made without any difficulty.  I'm off to PM Longtimegeek and Missmoppet with the DC no..

I got my package from mamarose, and inside was.....

The cutest little elephant baby -- I have decided she is named Effie.

I went for a picture that highlighted how sweet she is - but is makes her look smaller than she really is (hmmm I thought the camera added pounds ).  She is about 5 1/2 inches tall and about 6 inches wide at the ears (she is clearly an African Elephant)



Thanks so much mamarose, she is adorable.  She even got the 'aww, that's cute' seal of spousal approval

awww! thats so cute!! Im looking forward to seeing everyones stuff to arrive. Still working my tail feathers off. Lightened my load by deciding to buy garter lace instead of crocheting it

I received this awesome ami from Longtimegeek, yesterday.  I now present
Socrates (Socks) the cat.  Isn't he amazing?



Also, I am posting this picture of Effie the elephant that I sent to Longtimegeek, in her native environment (jungle).  The colors show up a little better here.

Glad he arrived safely - he seems comfortable enough.  My husband got tired of watching me pose him in lots of silly ways.  Your photo of Effie is much better than mine -- thanks.
