Does anyone know where to get nice feathers in the Mpls area?  Peacock feathers, maybe pheasant or something of that sort?  Michael's has nothing but junk and I haven't had a chance to check Joann's yet, but I'm wondering if there are other, non-chain options.  Preferably ones that are open on Sunday.  Help would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

Just noticed your post. Sorry it took so long. I tie flies (like the one in my avatar). Fly shops have nice feathers but they cost a bit more than craft stores. Peacock and pheasant are pretty common, though you'll rarely see the whole peacock feather. They sell the "eye" of the feather separate from the herl and the swords. On rare occasion, you'll see peacock body feathers, like those in the center of my butterfly at fly shops but more often you'll have to look online for them.

Flyangler in Fridley is one such shop, Bob Mitchell's in Lake Elmo is another. Gander Mountain has really cut back on their tying inventory, as has Cabela's in Rogers. If you are near Woodbury or Coon Rapids, get over to Sportsman's Warehouse before they close in May. Their tying supplies are dwindling rapidly.

Online, Hook and Hackle and FeathersMc are decent choices.
