My latest obsession- enameling copper! A wonderful craft for those in need of instant crafting gratification:)

Your pieces look very good, so nice and shiney. But what exactly is enamaling copper?

Thank you so much!

Basically, it's just the process of melting powdered glass onto copper. Most people use a kiln, but I use a torch.

Those are so pretty!  I especially like the blue & copper one.  Smiley

I used to love to do enamelling in high school but I haven't had access to a kiln in a long time.  What kind of torch do you use?

Thank you:) The blue always seems to come out the best!

I use a MAPP gas torch. You can find them at Wal-Mart or the hardware store.

Thanks for the torch info!  I might just have to give it a try.  Smiley
