This skirt was kind of an accident... I saw the fabric and was doomed from then on. The skirt has a matching top, not pictured (I'm not happy with the sleeves, so I'm reworking them.)



The skirt has channels so it can be drawn up, bustle-style, as below.



I made the top first, and it was a bit too short on me, so I wanted the skirt to be high-waisted to compensate. I'm pleased to say it fits me perfectly!

ETA: here's a picture of the underskirt. It's insanely poofy, but the overskirt tones it down a little.

Beautiful job (: I would definitely wear that for Chinese New Year with a black lolita top!!! The fabric is great and suits the design of the skirt. Hmm... I wonder if I can get my sister to make this for me...
