Well...here's my first post!

I started working on this mosaic a couple of years ago...but have finally finished it. I used one of those cheap, particle board tables and broken mirror. I bought my tiles off of ebay. Then painted the legs with a random stripey pattern. I used black grout as well.  I'm SO happy with it. I plan on using it for a bar when I have friends over for drinkies. I could also detach the legs and hang the table top up on the wall as a piece of art.

Anyway, the tables are so affordable...I encourage anyone to give them a try!

Sorry my pictures are blurry.

That's funny, I made a mosaic table top a couple of years ago. It was a rooster, I don't know why. But it was bad ass! I just mosaic-ed a piece of masonite the same size as the top of my table, so I could remove it if I wanted. I used liquid nails, what did you use? Then i grouted in black too and sealed it.

Ummm...I can't remember...a silicon based glue...like G6000 or something like that.

I'm not going to seal this...I'm going to buy a glass top at Walmart for it. That way I can clean it real easy.

I love mosaic...this is my biggest mosaic project...but I look around and see so many posibilities in my house. You seriously can mosaic anything.

I find mosaic is actually really calming to do...like coloring (which I also love doing)...except I'm coloring with tiles.

my baby sister made this for my first apartment many years ago and i still use it - in fact have the computer on it right now!
She was about 13 at the time and my mom signed her up for every summer activity in existence - including an art workshop on making mosaics. I then pestered her to make me one, and we amazingly found the perfect size board and some old iron legs lying in my mom's garage!

here is the flower table:
