Yes this if you hadn't already guessed it is made with lavender buds, and vanilla essential oil. I love the look of this soap, it looks so manly but delicate at the same time. I made them round because Ramsey loves round soap, he says it is easier for him to hold in his hand. I can't wait for him to use them, they are still curing so we will need to wait three more weeks.

I love making soap but I am so lazy when it comes to posting my pics, and writing descriptions. I love hearing comments about my work, this will keep me motivated posting more projects.

I was going to ask if the Vanilla made the soap any darker, than noticed you said "vanilla essential oil".

Is this a Vanilla Absolute?  If so, Yikes!  That is one expensive soap!  I like using essential oils and absolutes, but I won't go $50/oz for soap.

Oh yeah I wonder that too, I never know what people mean when they talk about vanilla EO. Isn't there vanilla basalm or something that is sometimes called  eo?

Actually it is non discoloring Vanilla essential oil from the chemistry store. It is a light yellow color so it doesn't stain or change the color of the soap. I love this stuff.

They have very good quality oils there, I purchase quite a bit from them. They never disappoint me with there scents.

ChemistryStore has some nice FO/EO.

The Vanilla EO is actually a blend.
Quote
This natural EO is a blend of vanilla absolute, natural vanillin and refractionated coconut oil.

I do wonder how much absolute and how much fractionated coconut oil is in the blend ...  16 oz @ $36.00 is a far cry from vanilla absolute that sells at 1 oz @ $50!!!

That's cool! I just was wondering, because I've always been taught that "there is no such thing as a vanilla EO."  I've been quite happy with Brambleberry's non-discoloring vanilla FO in the past, but may have to check yours out too!
