V-day jewelry

I know it's a little late for Valentines day jewelry but better late than never
this is what i made and wore the week before V-day





the necklace/collar part is made from the leather handle of an old purse
the candies are real and they have been coated in 3 layers of clear nail polish
i hope they keep ^_^;;
and i used a hot glue gun to attach them to the collar and got adhesive velcro and attached it to the back to keep the necklace on... then later i sewed the velcro on because my hair kept get'n caught in the adhesive
for the clips i took regular clips and hot glue the nail polish coated candies onto them ^_^
they held up very well and are super cute ^_^

cuteness!...i got some of those hearts when they went on sale for 50 cents so i could craft with them...lol...been wondering what to coat them with...so thanks!

great idea.  i'm gonna remember it for next v day.  did a heart button bracelet one year, but this is way more cool.

very kawaii.... I never even thought of using candy hearts... I used cinnamon hearts before and jelly beans... o^_^o

awesome. i like the hair clippything. i tried that with those little cap gun parts, but it wouldn't stay.

i like!! especially the choker! for v-day i took a white shirt and hot glued candy hearts all over the front...i wore it to the school dance afterschool and at the dance ppl just pulled them off and ate them!! haha!- i also made earrings, but no pics of those- i just glued a candy heart to these big silver sequins and put them on an earring hook....

i used both big candy hearts and little ones... and it actually didnt take that long to make- sorry bout the pic... some girls v-day card was in the way and it is the only picture i have of the shirt

Woah both of those projects are wicked..  I'd wear it even if it wasn't close to Vday.

Artsy~ did they eat the hot glue too??  I really love your shirt though.  Curious if you put it in the wash or what you did after the dance..

haha, no they didnt eat the glue- the glue just peeled right off... it was pretty much a one use shirt...but actually all the hearts gotten eaten, and taken off and so i reglued new ones on for a swim meet and those all got eaten off too- haha- but i never put it through the washer- i only got 2 wears out of it, but it was really fun (and cheap and easy to make)
