So my boyfriend's birthday is tomorrow, and while I thought I had plenty of time- it actually snuck up on me. So about 2 days ago, I was in a frenzy trying to figure out what to get him. And then I realized...if they're a Harry Potter fan, what better to give them than their own Hogwarts trunk?!

So yesterday I set about making him his own house scarf, a bag, and a trunk. These are the results.

First is the house scarf I made.

This is a close up of the crest- a blanket stitch was used around it.

This is the "full-view" of the scarf and it's colors.

Here it is all bundled up. The tag was just burned with a lighter and reads: "a scarf for those cold nights in the castle".

Next is the Bertie Bott's pouch. This is my first time sewing a bag of any sort by myself, so this was fun.

This is just a (hopefully) better view of the font and such

The inside! Smiley Yummy, eh?

AND finally! The hardest thing was to find a trunk to put this is. So for once, I thank my grandparents for never throwing anything away- this thing has been lying around for years and only cost 6 dollars at the time!

Nifty outside

Filled with the goodies

Hand-painted crest on the right side

Well there it is, my first big sewing project that I did completely by myself. I am pretty proud of it, and I learned a good bit.
I can't wait to give it to him tomorrow.  Grin

Let me know what you guys think!

Awesome gifts! I bet he will love them. I know I would appreciate something like that.
