Hi guys.

I just have to start this off by saying I hate cake, and cupcakes. I cannot stomach the texture/taste combination of them. The whole texture sets off my gag reflex. Which is sad.

However.!

I love to bake especially cupcakes, which I'm pretty good at.

I fail at icing.

Seriously fail. It's generally too thick or too runny or not fluffy or just no good.

Can anyone help? I want a nice creamy frosting/icing I can make which doesn't taste overly sweet or anything. Like a buttercream icing or something that can be "piped" onto cupcakes.

PLEASE help me.! My cupcakes aren't quite the same Sad

Every time I post cupcakes I always link to this recipe for frosting because it's so freaking good: Cream Cheese Frosting. It's not too sweet, it's freaking delicious, and even my friends that don't like frosting will stand there and eat it from the bowl. It shapes pretty nicely, too, so you can pipe it (although I'm not sure I'd recommend anything too complicated like flowers, it's not quite that stiff). Enjoy!
