Thanks for your opinions

I have made my decision and you'll have to wait to see the completed top to see which option I choose!

3 is my favorite, but I wonder if you would be happier in the long-run with 2.  Anyway; those are the two I like best.

I like Option 1 because then everything is squares and I like that.  It just looks pleasing to the eye.  Any of the choices would look good though!  Grin

My favorite is #1 also.  It seems a little less... busy maybe.  I am not sure what word I want to use.  I agree with stick, just more pleasing to the eye.  Smiley

I like option 1 best because it doesn't distract from everything else as much. I also like that the corner squares don't seem oddly empty or anything; it has a nicer flow in-and-of itself I guess. Smiley

a vote for three. i like the pinwheels... but not too many pinwheels.

are you using solid black with the white?

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

I'm guessing the "black" in the inner border is going to be scraps of the fabrics in the outer border. If that is the case I think they are all kind of buzy. I would probably not have an inner border and use the scraps on the back or for a matching pillow or something.

If you are using off white and one other color (red, blue, green) then I think option 2 or 4 would frame the print nicely yet not compete with the outer border.

Nope, it's going to be black with off white. If you look at the original panel, she's got a black border around her panel. Plus the blacks in the fabric scraps are really a dark black - actually most of the colors are much darker.

Here is the original panel, and you can see the cherry blocks I will be using in the corners

I like 3 best with 1 as a close second.  Either way it looks like it will be great
