So I've been a lurker and my recent adventures in glue are bringing me out.

The first pair I did was to test how well this would work with the second. I only did one shoe with the crystals and I used Beacon Adhesives Fabri-Tac. This glue was really easy to use because it keeps the fabric soft, and it kindof works like rubber cement. It's easy to get off your hands and you can peel off large globs if you get it on things. The shoes are still really easy to walk in without anything popping off.

The crystals were a little smaller than the googly eyes I used so they took FOREVER. I also needed to get in practice of an easy way to set them on without getting covered in glue. The second pair only took about an hour to do and the eyes went on very straight. I used 7mm eyes. I only did the outsides because I didn't want to kick off the eyes.

Anyhow, here's the link to the pictures: enjoy!

it's sad I'm just now finding this post, because these shoes make me ridiculously happy. I'm not sure why, they just make me smile.  Grin

Try using just a dab of paste glue (glue stick) on a pencil erasure and dab up your tiny items and press into the glue. Any transferred paste glue will wipe of easily with a damp cloth. (if your surface is non porous)

I sometimes dream of glorious fabrics only to wake, run to to my stash, and realize it's time for a trip to the fabric store...
