Hey Everybody, and Happy Obama Day!!! (Although I'm not American Iím still excited Tongue)

This is a project Iíve been working on for the past few months. We were given a project in my leadership class to do something good for the community, to make others happy, etc. etc. and I decided to make hats for the childrenís hospital. It really makes you realize everything you do have in life when you do something nice for someone else.

So in October I began making hats. I made tons of hats. Somehow a box of the hats went missing and that was slightly depressing. My initial goal was 150 hats before Christmas. I know that the box that was missing had around 80 in it, and I donated around 120. I must have completed my goal then Wink I was so proud of myself and the woman at the hospital was over the moon with my donation. She told me I donated the perfect amount because they had around 100 kids that stayed at the hospital and 20 that went to the clinic. This made me really happy, and I hope it made the kids happy too.

I really hope to do this again perhaps, but right now I need to work on my store, and stuff for this summer for a car show. Anyways, enough rambling, hereís some pics (: (:

working on the hats

some of the hats

and again

not even half the hats, i was too lazy to get them all out

a heart! <3

caught off guard?

waiting for the lady to come down

I guess thats about it... I had fun doing this project, and truly do hope to do it again Smiley

You did a great thing! I had a preemie baby as well (though you would never guess looking at him now, 19 years old and over 6' tall!), and it made me so happy to know that people take their time to make stuff for these kids. I love the cat pix too!

that was a very good thing you did! i also had a preemie, and was given a couple of little tiny hats with booties and they helped keep her alive and warm. i'm forever grateful to the women who made these for my daughter, and still have them. not just a good job on what you have done but a great job! so many hats.......i love making hats too, but don't understand how to finish them either.  Lips sealed
