I'm in looovvee.
I so want a shirt like this! It's fantastic, it's piratey, and it's got some really kick ass ruffles.

I am ruffle mad just lately. Love this!
How do you sew them on? Right side to right side, then pressed back?

the two outer ruffles are sewn straight on without pressing back (because i was extremely lazy) and the ruffle right next to the plackety-button-thing is sewn as you mentioned, and then stitched in place, if that makes sense.

the outer edges of the ruffles and the gathering madness hides the yuck edges of the two outer ones  Wink

It makes sense, thanks Smiley
I got myself a ruffler foot, and while it's a bit temperamental, when it's working smoothly it rocks my little socks.

I love the shirt - material, print and pattern. It fits great together.

Now I want one for myself...  Grin

Very beautifully done!  I wish that I had your patience, because it looks amazing but I just don't think that I would be able to keep up motivation to finish all those frills.
