I'm really excited about the inauguration tomorrow and want to show my patriotism.  I haven't decided which of these bags I'll take to work.

The first bag is made from quilted place mats that I found at my local thrift store several months ago.  I got the handles there as well.  This one went together pretty quickly and I actually started and finished it today.  On to the photos:

My 2nd option is this red, white & blue messenger bag that I made last summer.  It's constructed of 70's neckties and I've also randomly stitched on some of the labels.  There are two inside pockets and the strap is from one of my work bags.

I think the first one would fit celebrating the inauguration perfectly and demonstrate pretty much exactly what you're feeling, whereas the second one seems a bit more casual, Fourth-of-July appropriate (because I clearly know everything about American celebrations  Roll Eyes). They are both awesome though! I really like how well all the old ties go together. But if I were American I would definitely be sporting something like the first.  Smiley
