So I've noticed that whenever I try to look up something, the search usually only gives me swap results and I'm too lazy to advanced search and all that jazz so I looked up a nice tutorial on how to make some eyeglass cases for myself.

I made two based on this ---> [http://amazingmae.blogspot.com/2009/05/glasses-case-tutorial.html] pattern and made two today.

This was made from old pants I bought at Goodwill actually

And this one I love

Let me know what you think...

They're great! I love the butterflies one!
I've been thinking of making something to keep my specs around in neck as I loose them all the time (I'm squinting at the screen just right now Grin)

What a clever idea with recycled material too.  They are each beautiful.  Who doesn't know someone with eye or sunglasses or both (like me), that wouldn't use and enjoy this.  Thanks for the idea.

They're lovely!
Just out of curiosity, how well do they protect your glasses? (My glasses cases are all a bit bulky!)

Each has a layer of batting in them, but because I don't have batting (as I don't quilt) I used a layer of white felt. It works just fine in my opinion.

The spirograph patterned case actually has really soft striped cloth inside just to keep my glasses from getting scratched...So far so good. I'm sure if you wanted a little extra protection, you could just add another layer of batting and of course add a little more to all of the sides of the pattern pieces.

Thanks for the link, I'll have to give these a try. Yours came out great - the spirograph fabric is cute.
