It's been a really long time since I've made amigurumi, so I thought something adorable was in order. I wasn't sure what to make but someone suggested I do a penguin through my website. I'd been considering one for a while, due to the winter and all, so I went for it. So here he is, all chubsy-wubsy and cute!

I'm thinking he maybe needs a scarf or something, maybe a little santa hat for next Christmas? Dunno...

The chubby little penguin is the cutest thing ever!  I made my very first amigurumi a few weeks ago and now I'll have to make this adorable little guy.  Thanks so much for posting the pattern!  Great work!

His feet are my favorite part too, cute little toes are always adorable.
I'm glad so many people like the pattern (and thanks so much for the kind words, it makes it all worth it!) I tried to make a penguin that looked different from the other patterns I'd seen online, hopefully I succeeded! His face/flippers were kinda inspired by Pingu, I've only seen it a few times, but I remember being horrified by the episode where he peed in public when I was younger, lol.
I think I will make him a scarf, even though he's a penguin he looks sorta naked, he needs a name too, any ideas?

He really is adorable and he's his own character too!  His feet really add a lot.

Thanks everybody! His eyes are painted felt, I'm not very good at embroidery, and I was out of black felt, so I decided to paint them, was pleasantly surprised at the way it turned out!
I made him a scarf too! Put another picture in the first post.

Funny you mention pingu, used to watch him when I was younger, so he's partially inspired by him, especially the flipper bits.
