Motivation from Knickertwist's "Little House of Everyday Wonders" http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=353043.70;

My 3D Puzzle Doll House
This is what I started with:

I put it together, took it apart and used wallpaper from the countless wallpaper books I have sitting around.

front with roof added

semi-completed

Since I used darker colors than I'm use to crafting with I have to decide how I want to finish it off and add furniture. It started off being an Angel house now I'm not so sure. IDK, just yet on how I'm going to accessorize. C&C welcomed. Thanks for looking

That's a great idea to use wallpaper sample books for the wee house! I like the roof. You'll have to post the inside too.

Was putting it together first helpful at all?

The house was a very long process for me. I'd work on it... leave it... work on it... leave it... but I'm a super slow craftster.  You might find that next week you'll want to add more or change something.

I likee it! It reminds me of like a country home that family's grow up in and pass down from generations to generations.

I don't think I have the patients to sit up and do something like this! (:

I have tones of sample wallpaper books, they are also great for scrapbooking. Yes, putting it together 1st helped out alot, the only thing is next time I have to remember to mark top and bottom parts. I didn't show the back as I'm waiting to finish it with furniture and all. I'm a slow crafter as well. Its what I call my therapy sessions, I talk to myself (and answer) and find all the answers to life's mysteries when I'm crafting. LOL!!!

Go for it, the end result has such an awesome feel of accomplishment. You can find the kit at Michael's. I got this one for under $5bucks. Lets make it a craft-a-long.
