My favorite artist is Derek Yaniger (he's a god!) so I took one of his images and translated it into embroidery...

I'm gonna put it in a crazy frame and then hang it above the tiki bar that my husband is making me. Cheesy

 Smiley Smiley Excellent work!

I love the writing, what kind of stitches and font did you use? Smiley Smiley

I am so glad you posted this!  We are planning (long-term, as soon as we figure out where his job is going to take us!) a tiki bar and I wanted to decorate it with art from Shag!  Derek Yaniger will go with it perfectly!  Nice work on the embroidery.  I love it! Smiley

Thanks for the great comments guys!

Aliped -  I just used the same font as what he had in his painting.  For the stitches I just back stitched everything and then used satin stitch to fill in the ends of the letters.

myfairytalescomingtrue - I think everyone needs to have a tiki bar!   Grin  Also, I think Derek Yaniger is perfect for any decorating scheme... Cheesy

Such nice stitches and such a fun choice!  There is so much going on in that little thing and you chose great colors.  I hope you show us the frame!

I really like this! What a perfect design for a bar. Great job on the stitiching, it's so neat and tidy. And the colors are a good choice too.
