One of the cool things about moving is that you get to find stuff you forgot you had. I came across a box of vintage linens that I have had for about 10 years. I found this in the box with the embroidery transfer already in place. At the time that I bought it I didn't even know how to embroider. So now that I know how, I decided to finish what someone else started about 50 years ago.

The subject matter is pretty ridiculous but cute at the same time.
I am not sure if it is supposed to be towel  or table runner, but I am leaning towards a table runner because the edges have a decorative trim on them. If even one has any insight on that let me know.

hmm I would think it is a small cloth for a dressing table, rather than a dining table runner. they used to be all the rage then. So cool that it finally got finished after all this time. lol it finally fulfilled its destiny

Super cute! I love the colours you used for it Cheesy

If it's not very large, it could indeed be for a dressing table. My boyfriend's mother has a dressing-table-runner that her mother had made with the birds-in-love motif on it Cheesy
