Great recycling idea. Just the type of thing that I like to see.

Ahhh I love it! You should put some rubber duckies in there. I'm a wildlife biologist and spend the majority of my time tromping around in the woods, I'm always amazed by what people "dispose" of in there. Kudos to you (and your fiance for hauling it) for turning someones trash into such a cool piece.

Thanks y'all! I've been away from Craftster for a while, but I'm back now! Jared and I got married and bought a house and now this fountain is going to be headed to our new place! I'm thinking of re-working it though. I think I'll remove the long pipe and make it so it's more of a bubbly-type fountain since it will be sitting on our deck that is HIGH up off the ground and I don't want all of the water to get pushed out by the wind. I'm also thinking I'll spray paint the front of it a funky color and maybe see if Jared will build a wood case type thing around it to set plants on and to make it look more finished. I've got so many plans it's ridiculous.

I write about my life, home, and projects at www.upcycleddownriver.com if you're interested in checking them out!

Please keep us posted with an update of your re-work. I would be interested to know what you do with it:)

Cool! We actually have an old bathtub outside that we used to use for giving water to our horses, but we don't use it anymore so it's just sitting there. Maybe I can spruce it up a bit, something along the lines of this  Smiley
