I am having a hard time figuring this out and cannot find a tutorial anywhere!
Can anyone explain how to make a shell flower? (Like the one here:http://flickr.com/photos/25994944@N05/2441830533/)

It looks like you just have to have a hole drilled in each shell and then you can use something to weave them together in that pattern. The one in your picture looks kinda like they just glued them onto something small in the middle, but here's a pic I found of one made with hemp: http://angelbearmom.blogspot.com/2008/05/shell-flower-hemp-chokernecklace.html

I think the one I have a picture of is with black cord...

I have tried weaving them together, but I think I am missing a step somewhere because it is floppy and does not hold its shape...

Hmmmm... maybe you need to do it tighter? Or perhaps you should get out some glue. Tongue I hope someone else can help you more than me!
