Last summer, I left my living door open to have some air. And I needed something to keep it open... I saw those plushies while surfing and I thought: wow, they would be nice door stops! So there I was, mixing a cone shape with bunny ears... And this little guy came out fine...

see, he even does a happy dance !!

I used some Ikea very funky fabric, two dark blue buttons, white rice as a filling and hand stitched everything ( I wasn't the happy sewing machine owner I am now lol)

Oh no, look what you've done!  I teach pre-k and now all can think of is how cute to replace the boring standard doorstop in my classroom with a different adorable one each month...  let's see, maybe a snowman for Jan.,  a bear with a heart for Feb.,  don't know about March yet, that adorable bunny for April....

Thanks for sharing!

it's great!  how much rice is in there to hold the door open?  our bathroom door at the house is kinda on an angle and it automatically closes if there's no doorstop in it.  it's a heavy-ish door and i'm interested in knowing the amount of rice versus the weight of the door.  absolutely adorable bunny!

for a heavy weight door, I would recommend using sand... like 2 pounds... but I am not a specialist...

gamemom: hahaha I am a teacher too and I thought about it hahaha

This is adorable.  You could do one for each month.  BTW, for March, there's always St. Patrick's Day, May could be floral for May Day, June for grads, July for Independence (for those in the States), and so on.

it would be a good idea... if we did saint patrick's day, may day and grads... which we don't... but it gives me an idea, as I teach english ( i know, I am not that good, but guess what I am the best in my school for that purpose hahahaha), I can bring some items this kind, put them on my shelves or my desk so that the kids can see them and ask about them ( they asked about my red pen laying there... so a shamrock!!!!)

Thank you for giving me such a good idea !!!
