Hi all!

I crocheted the Mad Hatter's hat for the Alice in Craftster-land swap.  My partner has officially received, so I can post it here - yay!  Cheesy I tried to make it look like the hat from the Disney version as much as possible.  I didn't follow a pattern, just kinda winged it, and I only had to frog bits of it every now and then.  I also made a Cheshire Cat inspired scarf to go with the hat.  The colors look way better in person (amethyst and magenta) - stupid camera lighting!   Tongue

Pics!

hat and scarf chillin' on the back of my sofa

"We're all mad here!"  My mom said I'm giving off the creepy-Johnny-Depp-from-Charlie-and-the-Chocolate-Factory vibe... *totally* what I was going for!

And while we're at it, here's a teacup I crocheted for that same swap.  I followed a pattern found in last month's issue of Crochet Today magazine.

Thanks for lookin'!  Comments and criticism are welcome and appreciated!

Cute!  You know why hatters went mad, right? They used mercury to make hats in those days, and mercury is a neurotoxin, causing tremors, aggressiveness, moodswings, etc.

So, I'm the lucky recipient, and those items are every bit as cool in person as they are on screen.

I'm one happy swapper!
