Wow, like everyone else has said - that looks amazing! The sepia was a perfect choice - it truly enhanced the picture! I don't know how you did it - but I did some crochet back in the day and I know this has to have taken forever and more patience than I could ever find!!!
You have got to answer back and tell us what she thought!!! That has got to be the best present she has ever gotten!!!!

I have a gorgeous granddaughter Smiley

Thanks everyone!  It was a very long going and tedious blanket with all the colour changes, but soooooo worth it!!  Its a pretty easy concept, no graphs!  But I can't take credit for that part. I sent a pic to www.crochetbynumbers.com and he sent me the pattern for this.

I actually made it for Christmas for my Mom and I tried so hard to get it done.  I only had 3 weeks so I had a lot of late nights! But no matter what I tried I couldn't get it done. Both faces were there, I just really had the border to do, a couple more rows too, so I decided to give it to her anyways, and tell her I was taking it home to finish it.  Well, when I went to leave she said "No, you don't need this yet" lol she wouldn't let me take it!!!!  My Aunt cried and my Mom just loved it.  So I finally got it back about 1 week later and finished it up.  Shes going to hang it I crocheted a loop into the top so it can easily hang but easily be taken down for a quick cuddle.

Thanks again everyone!!

I absolutely love love quilts, do you think an afghan is a fair trade for a quilt? I'd love to swap!

OMG!  That's beautiful.  Absolutely beautiful.  I would SOOO cry buckets of tears if someone gave that to me.

What a fabulous daughter you are!  Very thoughtful.

I cannot imagine a cooler, more meaningful present. You are a thoughtful daughter and a talented crocheter (if that's a word).

Go Red Sox!
