I have this little wooden box.

(Sorry for my foot & tattoo)

I want to decorate it with a French/Fleur de Lis theme. These are the French things I have. Plus I have tons of pages from old French books. And tons of pictures of fleur de lis, that I was going to make into a stencil and paint on.

So my question is twofold. One, how do you think I should design it? Two, some of the paper is thick cardstock, can I use that for decoupage like I would thinner paper? Thanks.

Question 2:  I've had good luck using cardstock in two different ways.  1) Saving it for the larger, flat parts of a projects; and 2) If you must wrap it around a corner, using very tiny pieces.

I can't wait to see your decorated box!  I love your Paris Stash.

About the cardstock...maybe you could use it in the center and other paper for the corners, or else make a color copy - I make color copies of my paper if it is difficult cut, glue etc.  I'm so excited to see your final design!
