Please inform us on how the plastic works out... I'm in the process of making one too. I tried to cover the strips with tape, but I found it a sticky and frustrating business. My lack of taping skills made them go all wobbly bobbly... I don't know what to try next.  Sad

Is there maybe a kind of varnish you could use at the end across the whole lot? Spray would be the best.

Can anyone suggest the best tute for the technique? I had a search for this a while back but couldn't quite "get it"

Just not very bright I guess

Love it.   I've made a few of these, but can never work out how to attatch the handle so they always end up as clutch bags.
How did you attatch the handle? (if you don't mind sharing).

Janette x

thank you for the kind words.. Smiley
i attatch the handle by putting the ends of the handle into the gabs where the "V" is, and then i attatchs it whit some strong fishing line. hope that helps

thank you!!
well if you can make the chain, then your one your way, just make 6-8 chain's take the chains an sew them together.
then you have one long pipe made of chains. then sew the bottom, make a handle in the size you like and sew that on.
that's how i made mine.
hope it helps for now.
don't know if i can make a tut, i wont promise anything.

Thank you for sharing! Such clever idea! I have tons of old beautiful catalogs and always need some original and uncommon wraps, bags and boxes for my projects.
Besides, I've discovered that the paper cutting is the best sedative for me.  Grin
Thank you again!  Kiss
