Hi Guys
I'm new to quilting (this project is my first ever atempt!!) and firstly wanted to say that you are all amazing at what you do!

I just wanted to ask...

I'm going to try free style sewing on the quilt. I am using blocks of colour (rather than patterned fabric) so I plan to use the same colour cotton on each piece of the quilt of that colour (does that make sense) So red cotton for red, black cotton for black etc. But, thats going to look messy at the back isn't it, as the back is just going to be one colour. Huh
I know it's probably better to use just one colour for the whole quilt, but as there are no patterns on my fabric, the cotton will really show up on some of the other colours/
What do you think is best to do?

I was going to suggest you use a neutral color on your bobbin for the whole thing, no matter what color you use on the front, and let the stitches show up on the back as it will be more interesting.  Personally, I think it will look messier if you use the same color on the back as you are using on the front.
