I am a newbie posting in quilting projects and hope to have more!  Please go easy on me! Wink

A friend of a friend just had her third child, a girl!!  Addison Elizabeth was born on January 11Th.  She was welcomed home by her 2 older brothers, Carter and Riley.  I have never actually made a quilt and I am not sure if this qualifies.  I bought this fabric with the patches already connected.  It was on the clearance rack at Joann's for $2 a yard!  I also bought the yellow flannel backing for $1 a yard.  I bought an additional 2 yards of a blue flannel @ $1 a yard that matched the yellow backing and ended up using it as the batting.  So for a total of $5, I have a new little quilt for Addison.  I wanted to add more of a personal touch.  I embroidered her name and date on the back as well as a few little blocks on the front.

My cheesy attempt at a tag! (my initials, WB)

Center flower

Lower right ladybug

Lower left strawberry

Upper left heart

Upper right duckie

Thank you for looking! Cheesy

Comments and criticism appreciated!

I wanted to add that it does look a little wonky but it is square!

Thank you to everyone! Smiley

My son received a quilt from a friend of the family and she added her signature tag to it.  I thought it was such a nice personal touch.
