That turned out so pretty! Great job on the tree mural. I love it with the dark color of the wall.

Thank you so much.

Wow, is that ever gorgeous. I just had a passing conversation involving a paint chip very similar to that purple wherein I was vetoed out of ever using said color in any room of the house. boo Sad Yours looks so pretty though. I wonder if I could do some convincing using this post as an example...

Wow thank you.  I sure hope this post does help you out.  I also was not allowed to do dark colours in any place I lived, including my parents house.  But now that my boyfriend and I have our own house we can do what we want (I can do what I want haha).  So what I found is that this room WAS quite dark...but I added white curtains, white table, white tree and white light on the ceiling... and now it isn't so dark at all.  It is really about the accessories that you add to a dark colour. To make that colour stand out you have to have light colours to brighten up the dark and make it stand out, I have found. Of course I didn't have everything I do in the beggining, the table was wood coloured.  It all took time and some money to make it what it is now.  Slowly but surely.  Thank you for you comment.=0)

I love the colors and I really love that tree.  It is gorgeous!  And I love the light idea too. I think I might have to try that.

Go for it I say lol.  Thats what I did.  Thank you for your comment.

WOW! I love what you did! It looks great. I especially like the tree. I love how you used the plastic cups- such a cheap product but you made it look chic

Thank you so much.  Yes it was quite cheap for the light cover indeed.  Some of my family members have said it looks modern.  Thanks.

wow! is so beautiful! love the colors, love the cups in the lamp, love your beautiful wall!!
wish my husband would let me add colors in the house  Smiley

Lol, thank you.  My boyfriend is pretty easy going.  I pretty much do what I want within reason haha.  It is our house...so I just say I want to make it my home too, somewhere I can feel at home and comfortable and feel like it is mine without it feeling like someone elses home that I am living in. =0)
