These are adorable. What size do you make them and who do you talk to about donating them to a hospital? I would like to make & send some of these to the children's hospital here.

Please forgive me, I did not notice this was for a charity you were contributing to. I will be donating to them. I think this is a great idea.

I finally finished the blanket I said I was going to make a while back. I don't have a working camera but have a friend who said she'd take some pictures of it for me, so i hope to get some pictures up soon. If not, I'll use my lesser-quality webcam to snap a shot or two. I'll add them later.

It's 19x21.5 inches, made from fabrics I found at Hobby Lobby here. I cut up 2 inch squares and using a 3/8" seam allowance, sewed them together on my machine. I sewed them into rows, then sewed the rows together. I don't really know the name of the pattern, but there's one square in the center, four surround it, then nine, and so on. I used a soft fabric that reminds me of when I was a child and sewed those together at intervals. I put bias tape around the outside to finish it off. It's not perfect, but I learned a lot and enjoyed making this piece over the last few weeks. It took a lot of time, so if I can make another one for this, it probably won't be as complex, so I'll be looking for/thinking of other patterns I can make.

Once again, awesome idea and I feel so blessed to be a part of this.

I started working on some quilts for this. In the past, I have donated to Project Linus and to the Shriner's Hospital near my house.  It is so quick to finish these small projects.  Here is what I have done so far, and I have a bunch more scraps cut.  When I have enough for a flat rate box, I'll send them off.  If someone could pm me the address, that would be great.

This one is 12 inches square

This one is the first one I did.  I know it's not baby colors, but thought someone might appreciate the patriotic feel.

This one is just the top at this point.  I'm going to put more of the off white on the back and bind it in the off white or pink heart print.  It's about 14 by 19 in.

I'd really love to do this, however, I'm just learning to crochet - would it be okay if I just sent a few blankets?  and if I can get a few hats together - I'll do that as well, or do we have to send boxes and stuff too??

Oh, how dear all of the blankets and quilts and hats are!  Thank you all for your generosity!

And popsicax-- we'd love to have your participation at any level that you feel comfortable.  I think that especially in this case it's truly the thought that counts!!!

If anyone is trying to access my website, I apologize that my website is currently down. I'm being ripped off from my hosting company any they have taken my website off online. I am currently frantically searching for another hosting company. I'm so sorry.

Everyone is doing so great Smiley
