I recently participated in the Lap Quilt Swap III and the idea of the swap is that we were divided into groups of 12 and each participant made up packages of fabric, kept one for themselves and sent the other 11 off to their partners.  Each partner would then make a square and return it to you.  At the end, you had enough to make a quilt.  My group had a few hitches and so I ended up having to make 3 of my own squares.

I gave this quilt away on Monday night to a friend who had her first baby in mid-December and she really liked it and the story behind it's creation.

It's backed with flannel that made it extra cuddly!

These are the 3 squares I made:

looks great! I was in that swap, but didn't work on that quilt. This gives me some motivation to finally finish up my top from that round Wink

Wow! It's beautiful. I bet the baby will be fascinated by the patterns and colors. I love the swap aspect of it, too.
Thanks for sharing!

I really love this.  I did a search a day or so ago to see if another Lap Quilt Swap was in progress, but I missed the deadline for #4.  Hopefully I can participate in Swap #5.  Smiley

Thanks everyone for the comments!

I was in 2 groups in the Lap Quilt swap and I'm currenty working on the other one as well, however it's gonig to be awhile since I'm planning to add 12 of my own squares to it so it's a larger quilt.

I'm in the lap quilt swap 4 and I love the way your quilt turned out.  Looks beautiful and I love flannel backs.  You should keep us posted on the other quilt.
