After taking a little hiatus from crafting, I'm now back in, full force. To get the ball rolling, I decided to try shrinky-dink for the first time. After much trial-and-error, and failed attempts, I ended up with these two rings:

Thank-you!

As for getting the shrinky-dink into that shape, I had to scourge my house for something that was approx the same size as my finger. I tested this by placing a slightly too large ring over random things (felts, make-up bottles, ect) and finally found a mascara that was the perfect diameter.
Right after taking out of the oven, while the plastic is still hot, I wrapped it around the mascara tube.

wow, they look very well made - must've taken heaps of practice.  The designs are adorable, too.

Do you think that the images will hold up under wear? It kind of looks like the image is on the skin side of the ring, not the outside....

I'd hate to wear it down to obscurity.. Cry

The images are on the inside of the ring, so I'm currently testing out different kinds of sealers, to see which one works best. Giving them some wear and tear.
