I have fond memories of that song from my childhood (really!). There was a radio show my family listened to called Dr. Demento that played all sorts of funny/novelty songs, and this song was on the best-of album.

Even without knowing the song, the painting is great! Beautifully done, with a side of disturbing.

You did a great job with this painting, especially the with the pigeons! I just wish the image was a little larger so I could see the details better. I was wondering what art school you're attending? I'm studying at SCAD and majoring in Industrial Design but I had originally wanted to major in Illustration....Well keep up the good work, I'd love to see more!
I'm at Kendall College of Art & Design.  I was accepted there way back in 1988, but I couldn't afford to go and it's unfortunate, but the talent I did have was never expanded until now.  I'm just lucky I can finally do this.

I've come across an awful lot of people that know and love the song.  I was pretty shocked to hear of how many people actually know of it......I'd never heard of it.

Thanks guys!

I had to look at this a few times, I kept noticing different things.  The first thought that popped into my head was that the couple looked a bit odd together!  And I didn't notice the dead pigeons at first either.  I absolutely love the painting, you have an amazing talent.

Sorry if you said it in your post somewhere but if you did I missed it!  I just wondered what media you used?

Incredibly impressive! It really draws you in and makes you question the oddity of it.
Beautifully done! I, too, would love to see the detail closer up!  Keep up the fantastic work!
